Serena Pines is an attorney in the Family Law practice group at Douglas Law Firm, bringing years of experience and a longstanding commitment to helping individuals and families through challenging circumstances.
Serena spent her early childhood in South Florida, South Carolina, Illinois, and Mexico before attending high school in St. Augustine, Florida. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Colby-Sawyer College in New Hampshire.
After college, Serena began her career in public service, working with the Youth Crisis Center, Florida Department of Children and Families, and St. Johns County Health Department. Wanting to expand her ability to advocate for others and build a strong future for her son, she decided to pursue a career in law.
Serena earned her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law and began practicing family law with a nonprofit public interest law firm. Many of her cases involved domestic violence and other complex family dynamics. She later spent eight years managing the firm’s family law unit, one of its largest teams of attorneys and paralegals. Throughout her public interest career, Serena provided legal services to more than 2,000 clients.
Today, Serena brings that experience to Douglas Law Firm’s Family Law practice group, where she continues to advocate for individuals and families navigating difficult transitions.
Outside of the office, Serena is a lifelong equestrian who rode on her college equestrian team and now spends many weekends with her family’s three horses. She also enjoys fitness, art, boating, and spending time on the water with her family and fiancé, whom she met while surfing.
